Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that wearing face masks will no longer be mandatory outdoors.

Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that wearing face masks will no longer be mandatory outdoors from the 1st of May, but still “strongly encouraged” to be used in open areas. He also stressed that it is still compulsory to wear face masks while indoors and while using public transport, which includes e-hailing services.

The face masks exemption outdoors doesn't mean that the fight against Covid-19 is over. Stay vigilant by continuing to wear a face mask to prevent infection. (Source: Free Malaysia Today)
